THE SPIRITUALITY CHURCH OF CANBERRA
The Church is now considered to be the largest, alternative interfaith Spiritual church of its kind in Australia. Services encompass ancient wisdom and contemporary theosophical and new age thought, set within a warm and welcoming, hymn-free, guilt-free setting. A space that respects and acknowledges all paths that lead to Light – ones who assist in the personal evolution of the Soul, Mind and Body.
The Church is run entirely by volunteers, whose day jobs include accountancy, healing, reiki, astrology, the public service, yoga and hypnotherapy, to name a few. Many team members as well as some of our congregation offer workshops, classes and meditation groups to enhance personal and spiritual growth and foster wholeness in mind-body-spirit, with an awareness of the presence of Light – Mother, Father, Great Spirit, Buddha – in all its forms.
The Church has rapidly become the gathering spot for those who have become disenchanted with traditional religion, yet still yearn to discover and nurture their personal connection to Light. Each service includes a speaker within the fields of either spirituality or personal growth to inspire. The fortnightly Services are held at the Community Hall in Collett Place, Pearce, Canberra, Australia.
The Spirituality Church of Canberra was founded 9 years ago. It attracts a wide range of former religious denominations, from Catholics to Buddhists. The Church runs fortnightly Sunday Evening Services on the 2nd and 4th of each month, with each service offering a healing meditation to help send strength to those named in the healing book. There is also a Tibetan mindfulness short meditation to help all centre into the Present.
Our congregation members include many cultures, religions and orientation – Aboriginal members join us, as do Buddhists, Muslims, Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Humanists, Spiritualists, Gnostics, Jainists and other everyday seekers and self-discoverers who want to be part of a sacred community offering Services that leave you feeling uplifted, energised and heart-connected. We also have a healthy following of LGBT folks.
Most people tend to arrive at 645pm for the start of Service at 7pm. Bring coins or notes for the collection please. All proceeds are expertly managed by our Treasurer, with your donations offsetting our running costs and supplies. A healing service at the side of the hall is available throughout the Service, by various practitioners versed in Reiki, Spiritual Healing and Theta healing. Services end by 830pm, with the invitation to linger over a cuppa and meet like-minded people.
The church also has a healing team, a leadership team, a flower service team, a mediumship and guidance team and
a pastoral care coordinator.
